IBA's Building Inspection Service

Make sure your home is up to Australian Standards by getting it assessed while you build by industry experts.

Why choose IBA for your Building Inspection

The big difference with IBA from most other building inspections is the support we give you to explain reports and how to handle builders. In addition to the above inspections, IBA will be here to answer any questions you may have. This service is to answer any question as 3rd party unbiased support and feedback.

Single Storey Inspections Steps

Single Storey Building Inspection Total Price - $3,250 Plus GST

Note: prices may change for larger or more complicated homes.

Stage 1 Slab Inspection

A well-built home begins with a good foundation. We inspect the footings, overall slab dimensions and the waterproof membrane.  We also examine the termite treatment in addition to any possible site drainage issues that can undermine the integrity of your foundation during the construction period.

Stage 2 Brickwork/Framing Inspection

Your building’s frame and brickwork do much more than hold up your roof. It’s why we conduct a thorough inspection of the dimensions, connections and general construction of your timber and brickwork to the relevant Australian Standards.

Stage 3 Roof Structure Inspection

A roof inspection is a critical inspection that ensures the structural stability of your home. We physically get inside your roof structure to confirm if it’s structurally sound and has been constructed to AS1684.2.

Stage 4 Practical Completion Inspection

It is often only after the final handover stage that problems within a property arise, and all of those niggling issues you uncover can quickly become a major problem when trying to have them rectified by your Perth builder once you have paid the final balance of your account. Stop your dream home from becoming a nightmare by having us complete a practical completion inspection. We’ll go over all the items listed in your building contract with a fine-tooth comb, giving you complete peace-of-mind before you’re given the keys to the home of your dreams.
